While spending six months in South East Asia in 2013 on a foreign aid trip, God touched Matze’s life and revealed to him the desperate need of this world to hear about the Gospel and encounter Jesus. After attending Bethel School of Supernatural Ministry in Redding, California from 2014-2016, Matze first interned and then became a staff member at Awakening Europe. In 2020 he was ordained as a pastor by Bethel Church.

Matze is married to Julia and together with their kids they burn to see souls saved in Europe and for revival to come to their home country Germany.
